The same with marge. It's vegetable oil mixed with loads of colouring, flavourings, emulsifiers and thickening agents. There is no way that is healthier than butter from a cow.
    Precisely.

The thing people also ignore is we have billions of years of evolution behind us that have allowed for us to eat many, many things on this planet.

Relatively few things will actually kill us and really it comes down to having a balanced and varied diet.

The whole idea behind being omnivores is to eat a bit of many things.
Diets that exclude one thing or the other fail to acknowledge this and the thing you cut out is replaced with *more* of some other thing you already are meant to eat but now the diet is more restrictive and less varied.
Really exclusion diets are all trying to do one thing- reduce calorie intake.

It is far better to keep calories moderate and exercise more.
HIIT types of exercise deplete glycogen, boost the immune system and positively affects hormone balance.

Several years ago I was getting bad eczema which was getting intolerable - Doctor prescribed steroid creams but said there wasn't much could be done. On the off chance, I gave up wheat and dairy for a few days to see if anything improved - I've been wheat and dairy free ever since.

Soya milk is fine if you get the unsweetened supermarket own brands (the ones in the chilled fresh milk section) - it's Alpro that's nasty. Soya milk curdles in coffee - rice milk works ok.
'Course I slip back every now and then and have a piece of cake or a pizza.
I used to love me butter and cheeses and crunchy real bread too..

Hasn't a posh London store just been fined for selling unpasteurised milk? Kind of straight from the tit, but cutting out the bit where you have to lay under a cow.

Oat milk, almond milk, but no one has mentioned rice milk, which is ace, great on cereals.

Trouble is, you can only get rice milk at Waitrose and Holland and Barrett. No one else seems to sell it.

A while ago, you could get hemp milk too, but that seems to have disappeared.

I find rice milk a bit watery. You can get all sorts at a big Tesco, they've even launched their own dairy free range.

We probably get most of our calcium from milk, that's one thing our bodies care about. There are other sources (lots of soya is fortified with it). Just make sure you get enough if you stop drinking milk.
