Default Anybody got a Mackie Onyx Satellite?

Looking at one as a downgrade to my studio set up to make it more portable, got a couple of questions that I can't find answers for on Google - anyone got one who can help out?

Cheers man, shall give that a go! Was just curious to know if it'll work as a standalone unit without being plugged into a computer (I think it will from a quick Google, but wanted to be sure), and whether the base unit will still route audio without the pod part being connected (this I doubt, but can't be sure - would suit my needs perfectly if it did though!).

Take a look at the new Steinberg one as well. It's cheap as anything and the Steinberg interfaces are usually excellent.

Thanks man; the USP of the Mackie will be being able to leave everything (monitors, synth, mics, headphones etc) plugged into the base unit and just whip the pod out if I need to do some location stuff (or just piss off into the bedroom with a guitar while the missus watches trash ) though.

I've got one. Yes, the pod works on its own (the whole thing does if you power it direct), but the base doesn't work without the pod.
    You're with stupid. ▲

Thanks gents! Right, decision now is whether to plump for the Satellite (when I can find one) or a different small interface plus a monitor controller; think the latter might defeat the object of downsizing though
