    Default Resurrection day

Quite a while ago now I bought a loverly jooky strat called the spangled one. As you probably know mark is a very nice man who turns out some very unique guitars. Mine was a pink paisley strat . These were some of the ones he covered in material then lacquer. All was good and I was very happy until....

We got a puppy . Who in her infinite wisdom decided to remove some of the covering while I was out. I came back to descover a sunburst strat body peeking out from behind bits of torn paisley. I didn't really have a lot of choice but to strip the paisley off. This left the guitar cover in the remenents of the glue on the guitar body.

So I stripped the guitar of parts and sent it over to a friend of mine who owns a spray shop.he said he'd always want to practice airbrushing and would do the guitar for free.I didn't say what I wanted On it but he said he,d come up with something.

I got it back the other day. I d bought a fully loaded Texas blues scratch plate off axerus, dropped it in, strung it up and here she is.

First impressions. Love the pick ups. Real nice rounded tone , not too hot. As for the guitar I bought the original because I wanted something a bit quirky and I ve still got that. I understand things like this can be a bit marmite for some people so I d like to know what you think.

It's a shame the jooky is no more (technically) but... It's still a jooky! Kudos for putting the artwork in someone else's hands and keeping to the spirit of the original!
Looks fantastic. Perhaps the fella should advertise his skills.

Sorry - the other forum I post on is an HG Wells one - you confused me for a moment there
