I still own the WASP one. The Manowar cover is a cash-compilation.

Yeah, I've heard as much, I saw it reviewed on Pitchfork. I'm morbidly curious to hear it.
I'm back and better than ever.

You can get it as a download, but then without actually owning a copy of the album cover maybe what's the point...

I also used to own this, same label and possible contender in the terrible album cover stakes:

Breeding mammals with insects is my personal bugbear.

I own the original (plus the second album) as well as the CDs, the box-set reissue bootleg and the live album. Phil Cope is a massive influence; no so much for his leads but his riffs are some of the best ever. I know Down and Metallica are big fans as well. A lot of Cathedral satuff is based on WFG too, hell the original lyrics to the song Hopkins were about the band.
AH! I found the edit sig function. Hurrah!!

I remember discussing these album covers a good ten years ago on the old computer music forum.

A guy called 'magic' once started a thread with a photograph of himself and saying "photoshop me". we stuck his head on some of those album covers.

Ah, back to the good ol' days... if it's body parts you want, look no further than MR's own collection:

Not quite worst album covers, but some of these gave me a bit of a laugh.

I won't have a word said against Wally Whyton.

Next you'll be saying that Fred Barker and Olly Beak were puppets.
