A little while ago I complained about my pay like the self-centred bastard I am, and someone suggested finding the exact right way to ask for a rise at work. Well I have done, and my boss has listened to me, and said that all he can do is present my argument to the management team and see what they say.

At the same time, there is a job going in another department at the college on a temp basis that I'm applying to do as a secondment, knowing that there may well be a full time position in that job come September.

So lucky poos all round please...

So I didn't get the secondment, they filled it before I could even apply.

Also, instead of paying me to match my workload, they've decided to just take away all the fun parts of my job.

Well, we all had a good strain, but you can't say that you weren't warned about what bastards the hierarchy can be.

Oh yeah I was warned. But I was staying in this job for job satisfaction. The idea was to get a raise so I didn't have to leave.

Seems like job satisfaction is no longer an issue...
