Nonono...do not take ibuprofen with anything that's got aspirin in it; recipe for overdose, according to my doctor.

However, the maximum daily dose of ibuprofen with the max dose of plain ol' paracetamol is fine - recommended, in fact, especially for people with muscular or joint pain in the back/neck.

My stomach would hate me if I had that many pills.

CoCodamol shuts pain up reasonably well. But you probably need a physiotherapist, an osteopath, or a chiropractor.

I had something similar a about 4yrs ago, and it does recur. After much painkillers (including a reaction to Co-codamol - scary) and trips to physio did nothing, half an hour with a first day GP still eager to find the cause rather than dictate found a compressed nerve at the base of my neck and how to deal with it so pain goes almost instantly with no painkillers.

Wait until the stomach ulcers/bleeds kick in from all those ibuprofens...... That should take your mind off your neck for a while.

Funny I've taken ibuprofen for years and never once shat my stomach out, but I'm sure it would take my mind off the neck, untill I moved to get more comfortable from the stomach pains...

Syndol is the best painkiller I've used. Give it a go - a couple of them has got to be better than 12 ibuprofens in one hit.

Syndol/Paracetemol are designed for different applications than Ibuprofen.

Rule 1 of t'interwebs: NEVER take medical advice from a music bulletin board.

Rule 2 of t'interwebs: NEVER EVER take medical advice from t'interwebs.

Rule 3 of t'interwebs: Rules 1 and 2 will ALWAYS be ignored because it obviously makes no sense whatsoever to seek treatment from real medical professionals?
