Or an inadequately shielded power supply issue ? ;-)

Context: in a marketplace of a gajillion (give or take) models, I am aware of 2 makes of Wah (RMC and Fulltone, although both only after certain production dates) that come with shielded inductors. And no power supplies that shield themselves (probably too hard that close to the source of the magnetic field). I'm not saying it's a "fault" or a terrible oversight, it's the inherrent weakness of the plan to have a big transformer on a pedalboard that also has a Wah on it. It triggered my move to Gigrig stuff (massive switchmode supply and individual isolators for the problem pedals)
    Red ones are better.

But still, even factoring VAT into that you're at £130... admittedly a little leeway probably needs to be factored in for exchange rate differences, distribution over here etc..

But I agree with the general gist of your post.
The first place I found was £122, IIRC. And $170 is about £160 imported, once you factor in shipping, VAT and duty.

BBE Supacharger is similar to the PP2 but cheaper. Last time I looked it was about £30 less on Thomann if I remember correctly. I have heard that it is a copy of an earlier version of the PP2. Isolated 9, 12 and 16V outputs. I've been using one for years.

Dunlop brick is a complete waste of money. Outputs are not isolated. 18V outputs too noisy to use with my Fulltone drive pedals. 9V non-isolated supply at that price???

The PP2+ is one of the best gear purchases I ever made. Once you swallow up the hefty chunk of coinage on something so dull as a power supply, you'll realise why so many pros use them.

It's a solid quality bit of kit which just solves so many headaches when powering pedals. Worth the hefty outlay IMO.

true, but it does still call into question the "The cost is more palatable and the quality is up there." assertion he made, lol.

yeah, to be fair i originally made the post when i thought the prices were slightly different, lol. the price here seems to have dropped and the price in the US seems to have increased.

where did you see one for £122, out of interest?

It was GuitarGuitar - though on further investigation that's for the Digital version - the PP2+ is indeed £154.

    Sorry!
