Default Suhr Rasmus - production ceased?

Have these gone the way of the dodo?

Peach advertised the last of their stock last week, and now Guitar Guitar have too. I wonder if they never really took off? Dodo pun unintended...

Don't know. I've never understood why anyone would buy a (fairly expensive) copy, of a guitar which is essentially a copy...

Yes they have finished the offshore production experiment.

IMHO they were good guitars but they didn't sell well.
People who want a Suhr generally buy a Suhr.
If they can't afford a new one then they buy a used one.

It didn't help that, however good they were/are, they look like the most boring superstrat - kinda look like the output that Washburn / Yamaha / Aria were pumping out in the late 80's / early 90's (and still do to some degree).

Not only that, they looked cheap.

If you'd asked me to guess the price of that and I didn't already know, I'd guess at £250, not £900.
My name is Connor and I have a GAS problem.

I also have some videos of myself playing guitar. Here they are.

    Absolutely.
Just need to refinish the headstock and get rid of that logo. :-)

I just bought one from Guitar Guitar. I wasn't in the market for one at all (I was looking for an SG) but at the price I couldn't resist as I've always wanted to try a Suhr. As far as I can tell most of the people who moan about them haven't played them, but I agree they look very plain. Almost all the comments I've read from owners or those who have actually tried them have been overwhelmingly positive. That's all I need to know.

I asked the sales chap about the price drop and he confirmed that the Rasmus line has been dropped due to rising costs. This makes them look even better value.

I reckon the look of the standard can be improved with a scratch plate and something to cover that awful logo
