I make glasses for a living so I'm having nothing to do with this thread.

I've only had them for a couple of hours (wearing them to use my laptop) but I find I have a) a headache and b) my eyes are watering.
Is this just an adjustment period or should I go back to the optician?
No, it's just that you're wanking too much.

I've had to wear readers for about 6 years, now. Last time I went they said I needed them for more that just reading. I probably should have spent the money on glasses, instead of a guitar..

I've worn glasses since I was 14 (half my life now, yikes!). I can't focus on my own hands at arms length without them.

Glasses are awesome, but I don't like them being hijacked by the cool kids

I like to see women wearing glasses! Obviously, there are some women that even a pair of glasses can't make attractive..

I have three pairs of glasses (I'm shortsighted) - distance, bifocals for reading, and "middle distance" for computer screens at arm's length.

I can drive while wearing the distance and bifocals, but map-reading requires bifocals to focus on the book and the road signs.

The middle distance ones work brilliantly for screens, but are useless for anything else... somehow, I'm always wearing the wrong pair.

In that case, take your glasses off.

Ive been wearing specs for donkeys (lowest prescription there is pretty much) just for computer work and arms length reading, Ive quite literally just had a new set, with a new prescription, the smallest possible increase...............and it made me a bit nauseous headachy for the first couple of days..............so it happens to new and seasoned spec wearers...........

and yes I did go to specsavers

Ok, getting the hang of it now.
Had a mahooosive headache today as I adjusted to it but by the afternoon it had calmed down.

It is nice being able to see 0.5mm markings on a ruler.
As a lutherie student it is rather helpful.

    Thanks for the help fellas.
