I really want glasses*... but no matter how many screens I stare at all day I can't seem to need them... and I'd never want to do that hipster thing of fake glasses..

ditto - i was doing some drum sanding in my living room last night and was getting bits in my eyes so put some sunglasses on - it felt very professorial putting on some eyes to do work and i know they make me look awesome

I always wanted glasses too- my eyes were fine until the last year or so.
Now I need them.

Well as we all know the SI unit of seeming visually intelligent is "Thinkies" or Th. Scientifically it's been prooven that the addition of glasses adds precisely 12.5Th to a person.

However if you add in novelty lenses or coloured lenses this can in some cases lower the Thinkies score by as much as 20Th taking the new score well below the original.

While we're on the subject, I need glasses for night-time driving but not a lot else, lost my last pair and don't want to spend a fortune on replacing them (and it's been more than 2 years since my last eye test, so need them testing again) - what the most absolutley skintflint way of getting my eyes tested and glasses sorted?

I'm not eligible for anything NHS-wise, but wouldn't be adverse to the kind of 2-for-1 offers as I'm always losing things (and I guess if I end up needing glasses for general driving, a pair of prescription sunnies wouldn't hurt...)

So here is something.... I am wearing my second pair of specs today for the hell of it.
These are giving me a bit of vertigo.
