Exactly. I just wish the witch doctors would stop telling men that unprotected sex with a virgin will cure them.


There are a few points about this.

1) In rich, educated, post religious societies birthrates are dropping veery quickly. (creating lots of pensions problems)
2) In poor, uneducated and religious societies birthrates have not fallen. However such societies have adopted stanrads of hygine and medicine that makes the chances of a child surviving tto adulthood much, much higher.
3) The common observation is that as societies progress, become more educated and more secular, birthrates drop, and wuickly.
4) The biggest population blocks in the developing world are in China, India and Brazil.
5) As those societies advance it would be rational to expect birthrate to drop.

And if birthrates don't drop then nature has several, seriously unplesent for those involved, highly efficent corrective mechanisims....

We need to set up an exchange program between elderly westerners and Third-World infants, to spread out the ages a bit better. That'd sort everything out.
