    Default Hodson Telecaster?

Hodson guitars anybody heard or played them? I just saw this on my local gumtree and I'm tempted to head down to have a look at it

I've never heard of them myself and fancied a few opinions before even bothering to contact the seller.

Only sold through ebay apparently, seen a few of their Jazzmaster-types on there and they look decent for the price.

Just had a look on ebay, that's one's way overpriced! Three Teles on there now, from £130 to £180 brand new.

If you've got £180 to spend on a tele buy a second hand classic vibe, end of story.

I'd be wary Adam. There's a regular seller on gumtree Belfast who advertises (in my opinion) overpriced Indie guitars and some Korean Epi LPs etc (I'm sure you've seen them) who is selling these Tele's too. Very overpriced compared to eBay and little on the Internet about them.

I reckon there's been a cheap container load dumped in Northern Ireland!!

I thought that was him Chuffola I've already got a cv tele but have been looking at this one for a few days and thought I'd get some opinions. Pretty much confirmed what I was already thinking.

    Cheers chaps

Hodson is a brand that was associated with a music shop in New Milton, Hampshire. Chinese tat for the most part although one or two nice guitars did emerge. They have spread out over the country a bit but they are still being sold on the Bay even though the shop is long gone (I assume this is NOS being slowly sold off). Unless they've sold the brand and remaining stock.... either way, not very exciting, not rubbish
