We will have TV like this, in a couple of weeks. Doesn't look that special tho tbh. Walking Dead is back on next week. That's all I need

I have some cynical friends in the US who said it was good .. JJ Abrams produced it. Around 90% of British made TV is lame ...

I must be the only person on the planet that finds the thought of a show about undead zombies boring .. still it's another hit US show.

At least we have Miranda and Mrs Brown's Boys ..

That's because it isn't a show about zombies, it's a show about people. once you realise the zombie stuff is the backdrop, not the story, it's amazing

Fair enough .. I've not really seen it so I'm not best placed to comment. But it's another hit US show. The UK doesn't seem to produce shows like the Walking Dead or Lost or Battlestar Galactica. Knowing a few BBC bods I can have a good guess why ...

Other than Super 8 I've hated everything JJ Adrams has been involved with.

It's also stupid that everyone would be using flintlocks and swords considering you can make an AK47 with hand tools.

WD is really good- well worth it.

But yeah, can't argue with that re UK stuff. And bizarrely Top Gear and Doctor Who get shit from BBC people FOR BEING MEGA POPULAR AND MAKING LOADS OF MONEY. What the actual fuck?

From what I've seen of US TV I reckon well over 90% of it is lame. Remember that only the good stuff gets exported: like when people say that foreign-language films are superior to most Hollywood stuff. It's not that there's no bad world cinema - there is - it just doesn't get distributed in English-speaking markets. The UK produces better documentary, news and sports programmes in my experience. The best of British drama is comparable to the best (ie the stuff we get to see) of the US output.
