    Default Auto Wah order

I've just bought a Mad Professor Snow White Auto Wah off a very nice guy, right here, called wolf5150.

I was going to sell my crybaby 95Q as I thought I wouldn't need it and it uses a lot of real estate up on my board etc. If I decide to keep it where would be advisable to put it in order of fx? My pedals and current order are:-

    Guitar -

    Boss TU 2 tuner
    Crybaby 95q
    Lazy J Cruiser
    Malekko Phaser
    Strymon El Capistan
    Strymon Flint

    - Amp

Mark i.e. wolf5150 suggested before the wah what would guys say or do you think it's a bit overkill to have both Wah and Auto Wah?

    Hope you can help

    David

It's not overkill if YOU want both. I have a Wah and an Envelope Filter, which is essentially an Auto wah. Are both your Wah and Auto Wah True Bypass. It's no big deal, I would just stick it after the wah because that is before your overdrive and mod effects.

I have the MC404 Wah and a U-SOUND Yellow Q envelope filter(Russian). They are both usable and unique sounding in their own right. Your Wah can't do some of the things your E.F can(although I am not familiar with your Mad Proff pedal).

    hope that helps

Thanks Bellycaster. Just the Auto Wah is true bypass. It would certainly make my life easier if it was after the wah. Otherwise I have to make a few more different length patch cables etc. I think I may stick with that suggestion but always interested in any others views/advice if there are any.

It probably makes no difference whether it's true bypass or not. Don't get hung up about it. I would put it after the normal wah if that's where it fits best on the board - that's where mine is too. You're probably not that likely to be using both at the same time anyway.

    Glad you're happy mate
I'd say Try it both ways.
If you're not planning to use your volume pot to vary the tone of the Snow White, it won't really matter.
However, if your wah isn't true bypass, it might have an effect on the Snow White's response.
You may find you need to set it differently whether it's before or after the wah.

The only time I use my guitar volume knobs is to clean up etc.

    Thanks again
