    Default Ebay/paypal postage printing?

    Does anybody use this?

I'm getting fed up with the local post office when it comes to sending pedals via special delivery, and I'm sure it's mutual!

Would be nice to be able to print and wrap everything up at home and then just drop them off.

    Pros and cons? Any tips?

I don't see the point tbh. You still have to go and queue if you want proof of postage.

The labels have channged but there was a time when it didn't include the weight which lead to an argument in my local post everytime...

There was a time when it had a discount which made it worthwhile but now I just take it to the post office and pay them.

    I see.

Maybe I'll just invest in some brown wrapping paper then.

ive been doing it for years and never had any problems apart from occasional incompetent post office staff.

if you dont like causing a big queue at the post office, with everyone behind you saying they "hate these ebay sellers" (which used to happen to me), then its ideal.

some PO staff will just take the parcels from you, stamp the proof of postage sheets and away you go in a matter of seconds. but some other PO staff put them all through the system anyway, which takes ages and defetes the object entirely. their point being they have to check the weight is correct before stamping the proof of postage.

once you find a good PO that will just take them from you, its a good system.

I know some people who just drop off a big bag full of parcels in the morning, and then return at the end of the day for their proof of postage sheets. That way the PO worker gets to go through them all in their own time when they get quiet periods, and you dont have to wait for ages.

Thanks TEFOS, I think I'll try it out next time I have a few to send and see how it goes.

Maybe try the main post office instead, too.

the young woman behind the counter at my local post office always looks a bit sad and a bit bored so I like to feel I am enlivining her day by taking a parcel up there. I almost never seem to have ink in my printer at home either.*
