Ah didn't know that, does make it a good shout then - can still just about justify the Focusrite as it has a very good quality mic preamp and have been enjoying miking up the old amp and acoustic rather than rely on sims much more than I thought I would

If you want to go for Apogee stuff, then it's worth waiting a month or two - Apogee announced at NAMM that they've got updated gear coming out in March.

If you can wait a couple of weeks this is getting rave reviews. Avoid anything that connects via the headphone socket.
