    Why not add a free limited warranty? That's stop people buying an ebay one!

    I agree with the 'rip-off' comment, ebay are very good at making money out of doing nothing!

    I think the worst part for sellers where that extended warranty bs kicks in will be that the buyer is very likely to believe it is offered by the seller. Good luck convincing a buyer that you had nothing to do with it, and all the ramifications to your business's good name that will stem from that...
