Great amp - about 85-90% of an SLO (that extra bit costs lots) great crunch and proper soldano drive tones. Cleans up beautifully remember to eq it right - mids and treble way down.

Always wanted one but never had a chance to buy one.. if you do go for it you'll have to post a few videos.

Better than those MK50s you've been going back and forth from years. Very touch sensitive with playing dynamics. If you like to stomp on a pedal to get your overdrive and boost then it's not for you, if you use your guitar volume control like a sensible chap to go from cleaner rhythm to dirty lead then it's a corker.

yes, the plus has the additional clean channel but I'm not sure who buys a Soldano for the clean. It's a nice normal clean sound but nothing to rave about. It's still the way the overdrive reacts to volume control and dynamics which sells it.

Depends what you're classing as dirt..... both channels have independent pre-amp gain controls so you can add grit to it but i wouldn't expect say JCM800 dirt out of it.

Shame as I'd want jcm grit then more drive for solos.
