Default Anyone compared the Mooer Hustle to an OCD?

Just wondering how close these really are...

I had a hustle drive for a week or so. I thought it was pants!

Payed on in a shop. It's definitely in the ballpark sound wise but the knobs are too small and fiddly to tweak easily. Definitely wouldn'y want to play live with it.

I love my little Hustle Drive. Admittedly I probably won't play it out live but at the moment it sits on my practice amp in my bedroom and does a good job. I find it hard to understand how it can be "pants", what was the problem with it?

Just my opinion, I understand others will be different, but I really didn't like it. I realise they are cheap but that is only a good thing if it's as good as more expensive pedals. In my opinion it performed significantly worse than i expected based on reviews and others opinions. Sounded fizzy and nasty (not in a good way) to me and I soon gave up trying to adjust the tiny knobs to make it sound better. If I had persevered, I may have got better results but I couldn't see the point of making what (in my opinion) is a pretty poor sounding pedal sound decent. In case you are wondering, tried it with a Gibson ES-347, and a Strat, Tele, Thinline Tele Jazzmaster and Jag and others I can't remember. Only amps I tried it were with a couple of Fenders, Princeton Reverb Reissue and a Blues Jr. It might work better with something more British voiced.

Is that because it's not like an OCD or because you don't like OCD type pedals.

The hustle sounds, to my ears, pretty close to an ocd. It's an excellent drive pedal in its own right, and very responsive. I'm looking to replace my mxr dist 3 with one.

Looks like I'm in a minority of one. Maybe I should have persevered before getting shot of it!

It certainly possible that you got a duff one. QC can be a bit iffy down at the bargain basement end of things and there have been cases of bad ones.

Anyway, everyone has different tastes, so your opinion is as valid as anyone else's, I was just interested why it didn't work for you. I watched the Prymax demo video on youtube, liked what I heard and got one from Marcmart. Mine sounded like the video so was happy even if my playing wasn't as good
