    Default Multi fx dilemma

Looking for a multi f/x unit.
Must be able to put through a desk so m9 while I really like is not an option.
Have narrowed it down to the following which are all in same kind of price bracket:

    HD300 - £230
    Zoom G5 - £200
    Boss ME70 - £245
    TC Nova (s/h) - £200
    Fender Mustang - £200

The line6 I fear maybe too fiddly but gets good reviews on sounds. Fear I would lose interest too soon. G5 new kid on the block, good reviews and good price/spec, boss seems very immediate and simple to program. Only thing is more expensive and how good are COSM sounds? My only experience of them is on a micro cube. A little under whelmed but then again v small box. Fender has very little on it review wise but those who use seem positive. Wild card is TC Nova, love the sounds but just wonder how effective is DI ing. I only really need clean sounds though.
Sorry for long message but any feedback valued.thanks

Is putting it though the desk the main purpose or is that just a secondary/backup thing.

If it's the main thing then I would go Line6 or Mustang.

I wouldn't get a Nova personally. They sound brilliant, but are only worth having if you want to put them into the front of a clean amp and they are a PITA to program.

I don't know about the G5, but the G3 is very good as an FX unit though the amp models aren't that special.

I don't really know anything about the Boss.

The POD HD things are a pain in the arse. I don't use my HD500 anymore. Crappy signal chain problems, really nasty noisy FX loop.

The Zoom G3 I have is great though, so I'd expect the G5 to be.

Looks like I am narrowed down to a G3 or ME70. While G3 sounds good and new kid on block still drawn to ME70 for simplicity. Just not sure on amp models and I do need di option

I really like the amp models on my G3. I don't know about the ME70 but the G3 is very easy to program.

I've been using the G3 on my board for a while and it's stupidly easy to use and sounds bloody fantastic. The chorus on it is one of my favorite chorus sounds I've ever had.

    'Ahem'
I have a Zoom G9.2tt that I want to shift, and at rather less than your budget
If you're not a million miles away, you could come round and try it
    Let the river flow
    Through my callused hands
And take me from my own
    The eyes of the damned

Thanks for the offer but way more than I need. I know that I would get frustrated very quickly from past experience with similar devices. Cheers

I've just got a G3 and i'm blown away with the amount of useful features and simple to use interface for such a cheap price. I'd definitely check out the G5.
