    Default Bass Multi FX

I've recently bought a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass and an Ashdown Electric Blue 12-180 (which should arrive this week)

Now as I've spent all of my money I need a reasonably cheap multi fx unit, just to get some nice fuzz/distortion sounds. I like to play a lot of Muse stuff, so I will definately be investing in a Russian Big Muff before long - but I'd like to get a multi fx unit first so I can get a good variation of sounds.

Any products worth checking out /avoiding ?
    Let me know!

At the moment im thinking of picking up a Zoom B2 unit as they seem to be quite popular and are quite cheap too. Are there any other multi effects units worth looking at, even if it means saving up a bit of extra money ?

I won't be gigging with any of this stuff, it's just for bedroom practice recording purposes.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

The zoom has some very nice drive sounds. I plan on buying the guitar one oneday myself.

A second hand Line 6 XT might suit you - not too expensive, good quality build and nice sounding imo. I think you can make up virtual daisey chains inside it, though I'm no expert on it. A little easier to edit than the zoom too.

I've just ordered an EHX Russian Big Muff, so I'll probably wait a few weeks before getting a multifx pedal now. I still wont want to spend too much more than £100 - but I could definately strech to the Line 6 Bass Floor Pod.

Would it be worth saving the extra and going for one of them over the Zoom ?
