It is bloody expensive I know!
Joe of Joe's pedals recommended it to me as one of the best overdrives he's ever played, I didn't really wanna spend that sort of money but it's one of those pedals that as soon as you strum a chord through it you just know it's a quality product.
Have to say I'm in agreement with him, it's by far and away the most natural overdrive I've ever played. Had to sell two pedals to pay for it but I don't regret it for a second.
If your able to try a vl pedal I strongly urge you to.
Not alot of money for the last od you'll ever buy!

Haha I think I already have the last od I'll ever buy in the mxr dist 3. But that's more because I couldn't justify that sort of money on a pedal. I'd struggle to do it with an amp the way my finances are right now but if I ever get the chance, I'll try it. Is it voiced in any way, or is it a transparent drive a la Timmy? I wouldn't mind a transparent od at some point, to be honest, though again, we refer back to barclays and it looks like it won't happen for several months

While I've not heard the pedal in question I'm willing to bet it sounds better than an RS jiffybag full of bits.

Am I the only one thinking that 'Russian Bride' would make a great name for a pedal?

    Not any more.

For some reason it's made me think of a Big Muff style pedal but in white and with an unusual tone control voicing.

I'd like to see it change character over the time that you own it.
It would need to be nice and docile, maybe a bit too thin- over time it gets fatter and angrier- maybe only works when it wants to.
    Just like the real thing.

once you've bought it and got it home, it would work for approx 12 months until the warranty had just run out and get up and leave never to be seen again until you saw it on some other better guitarist board
my musicians blog http://www.matthewdarcy.co.uk - I'm also selling a Wampler buffer pedal and a Keeley Fuzzhead
