    Default Interesting Vid on Tuning

    Here's the link.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tfxy_zs0Mo

It's by Scott Grove, who I am sure some of you have heard of. He is slightly infamous and he's not everyone's cup of tea, but what ever you think of him, I think he knows his onions on a lot of subjects.

It's a bit long but the basic premise is that you tune your strings(with your tuner pedal or electric tuner) playing the string at the same strength as you play it, not just lightly playing the string, which I admit I do sometimes.

Also that tuning the thicker strings slightly flat is advisable due to the difference when fretted and open. Watch the vid if you have time, it's 50mins.

I have noticed he is using a cheaper model tuner, but it can't bethat bad.

I did try it and I can say I noticed a very small difference, I may have been cagey with and I don't need to tune that often(that's my excuse anyway)

Is this a popular method with you guys?
