Default 1/2 decent four Ohm tens?

Just bought a Line 6 Spider 111 and logic dictates that the fitted 8incher could be improved upon?

I have looked at Celestion and cannot see any 4 R tens! I have tried a G10C-30 so I know one will fit (just!) it will have to shout through the 8" hole but no matter. I need 4R of course to extract maximum welly, we are talking just 15 solid state watts here, tho' it does seem pretty loud in a house! (I dare say a 10 inch 8R Gold would be loud enough but silly. I only paid a nifty for the amp!).

Price is not a big factor, but not auric ones. I would like a Neo speaker if possible because: 1) it will have to be shipped to France and 2) Son,the user has no car.

You may be on a fruitless mission here. I have found a few 10" and 8" neos with 4-ohm impedance, but they all appear to designed as hi-fi woofers or midrange drivers and have such low sensitivity that you'd be better sticking with the original speaker.

It's a shame the cab won't take a 12" or I would have the very thing for you - a 4-ohm Marshall AVT speaker, same as a relabeled Rocket 50 by the look of it. Not amazingly efficient, but very light.

Thanks mate. I have a 4 R 12 sitting right here! Not Neo either but not too heavy. I have just shipped the amp but pre drilled the holes for 10" and put the screws in. If son tells me the incumbent speaker is totally awful (he IS a bit of a fussy B!) then I might look for an 8 Ohm 10? Probably won't be a lot in the final SPL. I fitted a K-100 16R in place of a SUPPOSED 100dB/1W/mtr Scorpion and it sounded as loud as the one in the other channel!
