Do I understand that you want something more "lumber region" friendly?
If so the HT-40 club is about the right price or a S/H HT-60 soloist. Once you go for 2x12 I think anything seems nailed to the floor!

Took the words right out of my mouth - that'll definitely be my weapon of choice if/when I start gigging blues again. Tremolo drops the overall volume, making it irritatingly unusable, but otherwise amazing amps.

Cheers folks - looks like I've got some serious music shop trawling to do!

I'm assuming you like Marshall flavoured things.

LC50 is good and costs beans SH
Jet City stuff always seems to go for nowt.
There have been a few nice mesas on here for not much money (F50s and the like)

If you like fender cleans then you can't argue with the HRD.

traynor ycv50b is pretty nice, it's ~£450-£500 on thomann (or at least the 40 watt version is, which i've tried... the 50 seems to be the same except for el34s instead of 6L6es and a better speaker).

EDIT: depends on whether cleans or amp dirt is more important... the hrd is nice if you want cleans but its od channels are iffy at best (that's the older one, i haven't tried the newer one).

Pretty much following suite with the others here

    Get a 2 x 12 for your current rig

Cornford Roadhouse 30 - think there is one in the classifieds
Fender Blues Deluxe - think there is one in the classifieds
    Fender Hot Rod Deville
Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 (bit of a marmite amp)
Fender Supersonic - again there is one in the classifieds

Nomad 45. Different voicing from the larger Nomads, and you can pick them up cheap.

Effectively 12 different voicings. Mine is a 4x10, so it's huge to carry, but there are 1x12s about.

Footswitchable with boost and separate reverb for each channel. Incredibly versatile, and sound amazing.

Engl thunder 50 1x12. Built like tanks, classic sounding drive (which goes from clean ish crunch to full on shred) and a great sounding clean channel. 6l6 power output (I think?) and I think I remember seeing a preamp valve as part of the output, too. Going very cheap on eBay at the minute, people don't like shared eq.
