Buy the one you try. Wood is organic - they can all sound slightly different.

Ive always played the one on the shop floor until happy then bought a new one as it seems to defeat the object of buying a new guitar when it could have been sitting out for 6 months getting a tan and being played by all and sundry, might as well leave the store and buy second hand saving a few quid.

However, having sold lots recently and down to only 1 acoustic (Fender GC23S owned from new for at least 15 years! you could call it a keeper) I am in the market for a Taylor 314ce (I know, I know it`s a cutaway) but it is my vision of a one for all and I have played lots and lots recently and keep coming back to it as they tick every box and feel great to play.

I know I will buy a new box fresh one too, especially as you never seem to see many second hand, roll on the weekend
