been thinking about it since this time last year and yesterday we went over to place with my sis and bro in law as they were fetching chickens and its 100% for us, kids interacted well with them so we have gone for it..

Beware the wily fox...
most definitely, the coop with built in run we are getting has all the fox proof security and I am putting that in a larger 6ft high enclosure with roof using 16g 13mm mesh so fox will have to get through 2 lots of mesh to tackle a fox proof coop..
of course saying fox proof is a little bit like selling snake oil but hopefully doing enough to deter, also a good tip I have read is to walk the dog around the coop at dusk as the scent will stop fox coming near..

I've also heard that foxes will dig under fences/enclosures so it's a good idea to dig a channel a few feet deep and put your chicken wire right down into it before refilling.
