    RIP

To me he will always be Tom Good and the voice of Roobarb and Custard - both mandatory viewing in my household in the 70s and much loved.

Reminds me of an anecdote I heard a while back.
A guy gives his elderly mother a lift not realising he has a Richard Pryor tape in the tape deck of his car. As soon as the ignition starts it starts playing with a stream of "MF this and MF that" before he turns it off.
"What an earth was that filth" asks his exasperated mother.
    "Richard Pryor"
"Well I'm disgusted, and to think I used to love him in The Good life"

It's funny, I'm normally totally unmoved by "random famous person has died" type stuff, but for some reason I felt a little sad at this news. Loved the good life. Adored Rhubarb and Custard. He just seemed a really nice guy.

Also sad sign of the times, that I also thought "please don't let there be any "revelations" now he is dead, as I would like to keep remembering him in such a positive way.
