Default Tap Temp delays. What is good?

I'm after a new delay to replace my Boss DD6. That is a great pedal but the single button is a right faff for using the tap tempo function.

So - recommendations please! Ignore budget for the moment as I will trawl ebay anyway!

The Reverend Lord Henry was not one of those new-fangled parsons who carry the principles of their vocation uncomfortably into private life.

    TC Electronics Nova Delay.

I've got the ib Modified version, great pedal and I love the digital read-out for the mS or BPM (something you don't get with the Flashback x4 which I'm sure will be mentioned below at some point soon).

ive had a few TT delays:

    Boss DD-20
    Boss DD-5
    Line 6 DL4
    Strymon Timeline
    Flashback

But now ive gone back to the good ol' DL4. I needed 3 presets which eliminates the flashback and DD-5. Although the DD-20 was great, i prefer being able to switch back to preset 1 from preset 2 with 1 press of a switch. You have to cycle through the 4 (5 if you include the manual one) presets on the DD-20. Not a massive issue but just something i prefer on the DL4. The timeline was great. best sounding delay ive ever played. But it had a ridiculous amount of settings and parameters and 200 presets! I used 3 presets of digtial (long and short) and modulated. Thats it. So i was massively underusing it.

I also prefer the looper on the DL4.

The Line 6 Echo Park is good because the footswitch is two stage, like a camera shutter button, so you soft (in reality not that soft) tap for tempo and give a sturdy stomp for on/off. It sounds great too.

Theres a mode on the DD20 for jumping back and forth between 1 preset and manual with one press.

Another plus 1 for the DL4, really easy to use and good sounding emulations. I use a timeline but they are super expensive, and not as easy to use as the DL4, though it does sound better...

nova repeater best i had/(still have)

had the digitech dl8 and the tc flashback, but didn't really take to them, but the nova ticks all the boxes. one annoying thing about it is the stupidly placed killdry button which i handily keep hitting by mistake in gigs..

If you want "best", look at the Eventide Timefactor and Strymon Timeline.

If you want good value, how about a L6 M5/9? Then you get a bunch of other shit, plus all the delays from the DL4
