Default Where to put a treble booster

Before your other drive pedals or after them.

Or is it one of those "wherever it sounds best son" type things ?!

Think about what you are trying to achieve? Do you want an increase in volume into a clean amp? Or increase the OD/distortion on the pedal

my experience with the java boost was always alter the guitar sound, then feed it into the other pedals, don't alter the effected sound.

I also use it to drive a clean amp
The pedal is a Boss GE-7, level set to 0 (no boost), the highest 4 sliders set to max, the lowest 3 set to 0............

Mine goes right at the front of the chain - before any buffered pedals , as most vintage style treble boosters want to see the guitar plugged straight in , otherwise they can sound strange .

1st in the chain in Brian Mays rig! In fact live with his wireless he has his TB mounted on his Strap before his wireless even. Apparently (according to his guitar tech Pete Malandrone) anywhere else and the sounds not quite there.
