    I repair Mic and Guitar leads all the time for friends it keeps me in beer so a foot switch should be a piece of piss so easy just need a ohm meter and a soldering iron

    Doesn't need to be shielded, any 3-core cable such as mains cable can be used, nothing wrong with using stereo shielded stuff though
