Default A Brush With Death (A Zest For Life)

    https://soundcloud.com/a-battleship-...ush-with-death

My latest song. My first serious use of the vocoder (on my MS2000).

Quite an 80s feel, with lyrics about how nearly dying might make you take stock, stop procrastinating and actually start doing something with your life.

It draws on that nagging feeling that maybe you should be doing something constructive instead of relaxing. Or maybe that's just me.

Some of the (non-vocoded) vocals are a bit ropey though (especially the high head voice). Need to do some better ones sometime, but this is OK for a demo, I guess...

    Have a listen anyway.

Very 80's, I sense some Alan Parsons influence there. It is a good song but I felt that the clean vocals were not as effective as the message, if you could put a more menacing attitude on them it would feel more like you mean it. The music itself and the vocoder track work for me though.
