    Default buying advice please. !!

Looking at buying a humbucker equipped guitar for live playing, played a few hundred gigs witg a strat. Orange amp and boss me 50.

Time for a change. I play a little fast bluesy things squire and hendrix, but in a psych mod way as well.

So with selling my orange valve amp, strat, me 50 and fender jaguar. I need advice on what to buy.

Was thinking of an sg. But just recently have been wondering about the other name guitars. Not worried about whats on the headstock. Just want a versatile, guitar with a beefy tone, fast neck. saw the vox guitars that look good value. And the gordon smith which look like good live beat em up machines. Any suggestions. ?

amps how bout blackstar artisan 15 egnater tweaker, rebel or renegade and try the es335 out.
Les Paul you could go for a epiphone or a gibson budget depending there was a forum topic about the quality the other day maybe worth a read or there are thineline telecaster 72 a bit more rarer than your standard start/ LP etc
If i was you just go and start playing in stores and see what you like and what you don't

For the amp I would say anything Fender

Guitar wise I would say a second hand Godin. LGX/XTSA/LGXT or one of the Icon models

Took the words from my mouth. A used Godin Progression is an idea if you want a single coil guitar with active boost circuit (used are around £350) or a used Godin Freeway SA (Synth Access) which has similar construction but with a pair of humbuckers and middle single coil, as well as synth access. Or, for that matter, any of the Godins above. They're all such great guitars, and used are such a bargain.

I have a Laney Lionheart 4x10 20 watt and its loud enough for any gig I've played. It does blues/white boy blues very well. Worth a look.

Guitar wise sg's and 335 types lend themselves to effects well if you do hendrixy sounds

The 335 has the internal block that the casino lacks. It might feed back with enough encouragement but nowhere near as much as a Casino.

The SG2000 is a versatile guitar that does the fat bluesy thing like a Lester, but can do so many other things as well.

I've not tried the Voxes but I'd like to. The specs look good.

Frankly I don't like Fender amplifiers. This may be because they don't sound like Marshalls
