What is going on here?

Just to clarify, the diminished arpeggio on the E chord at 6:07 is actually Fdim, built on the b9 of an E7b9 chord, which is the V chord of the parent key of Aminor.

Thanks Bj. Could you clear something up for me. I am not disputing your knowledge but in this diatonic sequence of A minor, isn't the V Chord Emin7 or Emin. There is a link below. I see these things quite often and get confused that one source says one thing and someone writes something else. It throws me all over the place.

I understand you can use 9th's as substitutes for Min7, but it confuses me as to when and where you can do it.
