Thanks Bj. Could you clear something up for me. I am not disputing your knowledge but in this diatonic sequence of A minor, isn't the V Chord Emin7 or Emin. There is a link below. I see these things quite often and get confused that one source says one thing and someone writes something else. It throws me all over the place.

I understand you can use 9th's as substitutes for Min7, but it confuses me as to when and where you can do it.
