Default Yamaha SLN100 Silent Guitar: a couple of recordings

Here's a couple of pieces played on the SLN 100, recorded straight into Logic:

Yamaha Silent Guitars are great guitars and brilliant for money.

Very nice playing indeed. What is the silent guitar like to play - thinking of one for nylon jazz. Is the neck as wide as a classical cheers Tony

    Nice playing and sound.

I played one of these (the narrower necked model) in Chappells, London through an AER and it was bliss. Great guitar for Dominic Miller-isms too.

    Hi Tony

It's not as wide as a full classical neck, it's just under 50mm at the nut. I find it very comfortable to play, and the action is just right.

Although this is the earlier SLN100 model, not sure about the newer models.

There are two variants of the nylon strung Silent Guitar - one has a classical style fretboard i.e wide and flat, and the other is narrower and radiused like an ordinary acoustic. I suggest you look at the Yamaha Silent Guitar website.

    I enjoyed those!

Very nice. I much prefer a classical sound over a steel acoustic.
