I liked jackman, but his singing was rather awkward, often ending with awkward intervals.
See, I'm not so sure about Hathaway, she was good on the whole but Her "I dreamed a dream" was too thin... I know she's supposed to be weak and emotional but It just wasn't quite there... it's all opinion anyway

One thing I remember and definitely did like was that particular scene. I thought it was really moving and all one shot. The only thing that could have made it better was if she exploded at the end But then I've never seen the stage show and my only prior experience of that song is via SuBo...

I loved the film, it was brilliant. All the singers were exceptional ..... except for Russell Crowe who really spoiled the film in terms of his singing. His singing wasn't bad, but everyone else could do a great solo turn whereas he was mr karaoke. It's a disappointing casting, they really should have done better, especially as they were meticulous in casting the women in particular (apparently). His two big songs were totally average. Such a shame. I'd have much preferred a nobody with a great voice rather than a 'star' with a sub-pro voice.

I was fine with his acting though.

I didn't blub, but there was great emotional content.
