FS: Orange AD30R (sold) & Matamp 1224 Mk II with 2x12 cab (Cardiff) - now with pics!
Hi all
Two classic amps for sale, one an Orange AD30R model, with Celestion Century Vintage speakers, and the Orange dustcover, and the other a Matamp 1224 Mk 2 with matching Matamp 2x12 slant cab, both in British racing green leather. Dust covers included again. Reason for sale is that i'm downsizing after a recent addition to the family (proper family).
Both amps are in good working order. The Orange has a few nicks associated with being a 14 year old amp, but nothing serious. The Matamp is in excellent cosmetic condition, only a couple of very very minor marks.
I'm based in Cardiff, so you're welcome to try them.
Asking £450 for the Orange, but i'm open to offers for the Matamp duo as i'm interested potentially in any smaller interesting amp heads that could roll with a 1x12 cab (nothing high gain) for a part-ex. Other than that, if it's a straight cash deal, feel free to ping me an offer... would like about a grand.

Can it do vox cleans? What valves does it run?
I would seriously consider trading my cornford hurricane for the head if the distance issue could be overcome. Postage is a no-no.

The 1224 does everything and runs any valves, a buddy of mine had one new from the factory, a serious piece of kit.....Originally Posted by cacofonix
Yep, it's a bloody good amp! Currently running with a quad of JJ 6V6 valves, although i've got a quad of Ei 6CA7 valves also depending on what flavour you like. I don't play anywhere big enough to justify it any more so i'd sooner someone have it who is going to use it.
I've got an Orange AD15 which i'm keeping, and a modelling board for any flavours I need, so I only ever fire the 1224 up at home every so often. I've got a bad back too, so am using the AD15 more frequently... hence my looking for a small head to go with that if I felt the urge for something different.

The Orange is up on eBay at the mo for the same price.

I love my Orange Rockerverb mk1, but that Matamp is lovely! Any interest in doing a deal seeing that you like Orange? I'm Bristol.

Sorry mate, the RV's not for me. Great amps, but not my cup of tea! Really after something lower wattage and cleaner / more flexible.
Rooster - thanks for the offer mate, but the AD15 scratches my Orange itch! TT's aren't bad, but again, not for me.
