Smile For Sale: Egnater Tweaker 88 All-Tube 88-watt Amp Head

    Hiya peeps,

Today I have for sale this nice Egnater Tweaker 88 Head that runs of 4 12ax7 and 2 KT88. Has a good range of sounds by incorporating 3 diferent preamp modules that are based off Fender Blackface amps, VOX AC series and early Marshalls and is able to go from cleans to metal at a turn of a gain knob (and after flipping some switches, and some more =).

Here's the eBay page: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271167109702 (you can find pics there)

I am selling it for several reasons: 1. Because I only used the Blackface cleans channel; 2. Because I've build my champ clone that I am now using exclusively and it only has one knob (yay!); 3. As I got myself into amp building scene, I need to justify my upcoming JTM45 project.

    Specs:
    88-Watt All-Tube Amp (2 x KT-88, 4 x 12AX7)
    3 different voicings
3-band EQ + independent Master per each channel
    Independent Boost Level Per Channel
Switch to Select Clean Boost or Volume + Gain Boost
Buffered Effects Loop with Level Selector
    4 Button Footswitch Included
    4-8-16 Ohm speaker output
    117V/230V Voltage Selector
    Dimensions: 8.24" (D) x 23.5" (W) x 9" (H) (21 x 60 x 23 cm)
    Weight: 32lbs (14.5 kg)
    More: http://www.egnateramps.com/EgnaterPr...Tweaker88.html

Some kind folks of YouTube uploaded several demos of the machine:

If you have any questions: you can ask them here or send me a PM.

    Cheers!

Sorry, only an auction. Just watch the thing, maybe the price will be right for you. BTW, I don't really know what the price for these should be. Last time I tried selling a 500 pound amp for 350 here and nobody wanted it. Went to eBay and it actually sold for about 250. So I can name you the price, but on eBay you can actually get it for less than that eventually.
    Cheers!

    No. It's in Edinburgh.

I am tempted myself, but its Vox sound is not quite right for me.

    I'm looking at Rivera ATM.

    Ah, my bad, just noticed.

They aren't supposed to sound Voxy are they? I'm interested in them too, but already have an AC30 so don't want something else Voxy! The purported intent of them, i.e. a Blackface clean channel and Marshall drive, appeals, but I'm still not convinced any one amp in this price bracket can do that...

Good call on the Rivera front though - that is one brand that seemingly can nail the holy grail of both. What model you looking at?

There's an AC switch which repurposes the preamp stack and is supposed to be vox clean, and it gets close (to an AC4 in a youtube vid I was watching), but it's a warm sounding amp.

Not really sure. The R55 seems like it is pretty versatile. Again a warm sounding amp, but it's quite flexible, so it might be a question of dialing in the right tone.

    It's a difficult one.
