    Get something like a mongtone 1x12, they look lovely and can double as a tv stand/coffee table

    Agreed, I have been looking at Harley Benton and Montage cabinets, but I kind of fancied the idea of building something different.

    Not easy to find on T'internet, but Mongotone certainly look more like furniture than you're average speaker cabinet

    Check out this, an Ikea-type rubbish bin speaker cabinet. http://www.beavisaudio.com/projects/TrashCanCab/ There's various other projects involving Ikea stuff for making DIY speaker cabinets.

    I use ikea as a source of metal, mostly stainless steel and aluminium bits for projects, those pyramids look good, they remind me of some HiFi speaker designs I've seem. I wonder how they sound?
