    Default The 'new' Hendrix album

    What we all thinking??

I will be buying, based on the samples. Quite like it. I don't think it's ever going to be a 'classic' album, as with most dug-up archived rare recordings they don't seem to go anywhere too far but I do like this little collection.

I have been listening to it for free on spotify (Christ I love that program)
I LOVE it. Somewhere is my fave track on there. Just genius... Almost like Little Wing in places. Thing is, this IS the last studio album they will ever release. they have more than enough studio recording of him, more unreleased tracks. but they will never be released to the public, which i feel is a huge dissapointment. oh well! enjoy what we DO have!

I just read an article in a newspaper the other day about it, it's material recorded right around the same time The Electric Ladyland album was being recorded and Kramer(can't recall his first name), the guy who either engineered or produced Jimi back then has been sitting on these tracks all this time. So, given that news I suspect it will be better than most of the casual jams that got recorded and processed into so called albums.

Need to pick this up, might wait until normal release though unless there's anything REALLY worth having in the mag-pack.

    Is there?

Most of the time there's not really much worth having in those Classic Rock packs. They're a bit of a novelty and we don't see them here in Australia unless we order them on the Interwebs.

Just a standard edition in a shiny silver-on-black digipack case. Pretty cool. I couldn't find it on Spotify unfortunately but I've had a squizz at the iTunes samples, like what I hear.
