You bought it for £40 or you have it for sale on ebay for £40?

As for the knobs thing, Ive just pulled all the knobs and few of the came off in my hand....

Wasnt aware that they could be pulled but essentially, its a nice thing for clean sounds. However.. I may be tempted to try out a SL5 as my thirst for gain could be wasted by buying loads of pedals when I prefer amp distortions anyway

Do you use it in front of the amp?

Yes. It's not for a loop.

It can make my Roland Bass Cube 30 sound like a Twin or a Dual rec or an old Marshall. No modelling, just great analogue design.

Works great as a preamp pedal too.

Turns out, I sold this amp tonight for £10 more than I paid for it... Prepare for new thread!

I just don't understand the love for the GT-2. I've owned two of them, I sold the first one almost immediately because I couldn't get a sound I liked out of it, then with so many people going on about how good they are I wondered if there had been something wrong with it and bought another one, and it sounded exactly the same, so I sold it to a friend... who was looking for one and loves it. I just don't get it, it sounds grating and harsh to me... and in my opinion, nothing at all like any valve amp, it has no depth or feel to it whatever. I'd seriously rather play a Rat straight through the PA (have done, with the distortion low and the filter up full it's usable) than one of these. I'd probably even rather use a Pod.
