Default Suhr Badger 30. Anyone played one?

As it says. YouTube demos sound awesome and I have some money to spend.

    Any thoughts?

What speakers are in the badger 2x12? Website doesn't say!

Excellent amp- much prefer it to the Badger 18- it is tighter and more focussed.

Now they are using Warehouse Veteran 30 speakers.
They have used Celestion V30 in the past I think.
I actually prefer the Badger with Heritage G12-65's or, if you can justify the cost, Celestion Gold's.

I am severely tempted to take the plunge!

I wonder if the 1x12 cab would be enough for most things

    I would go 2x12 myself.

Having stepped down to Boogie mini Rectifier 10w/25w, and Dr Z Maz 18w - both of which are stupid loud, I'd be inclined to get the 18w 1x12 version.

    The 18w is EL84, the 30 is EL34 which I prefer.

And it's got built in power scaling so the power isn't an issue really.

    I recently got one!
I have the Badger 30, the Suhr 1x12 and 2x12.

It is a fantastic amp - I have used it with everything from old school outlaw country, to regular ol' chicken picking, Elvis tributes, classic rock, and some proper hard rock. Boosted it for the hard rock, but it handles everything I throw at it really well.

I have only tried the 1x12 at home and one rehearsal doing some country - band had drums, me, acoustic guitar, bass and vocals, but it kept up without any issues and wasn't mic'd.

Both cabs have the standard Warehouse Veteren 30 speakers

    ooo pretty!

It's a shame that the 2x12 isn't vertical to keep the footprint small.

See, if you pick it up, rotate it 90 degrees, and put it down again, something *magical* happens...
    Red ones are better.

But then the speakers would be facing the floor and it'd sound all muffled.
