    Default Spring reverb?

    Hi all

I've just bought myself a lovely little Fender Champ 600 to noodle around on in my front room.

But obviously it has no reverb and I'd quite like a touch of something that will be in keeping with the amp. Does anyone know of either (a) any spring reverb units or (b) any reverb units that give a nice classic spring sound without sounding too modern?

    Thanks!

Danelectro, I think - Spring King?

Edit: Yep, just checked - Danelectro Spring King is a 60's style spring reverb pedal for just shy of a ton.

Cheers - I thought Danelectro did one but couldn't find it on their website for some reason or another... I shall investigate further!

The marshall reflector sounds great, and is cheap. It's got a couple of spring reverb imitations on it which aren't as clangy as the real ones, but I prefer them.

If it was me though, I'd use a hint of slapback delay rather than reverb, I reckon that would be perfectly in keeping with a 50's styled amp.

Im using an old Carlsbro Echo with my tweed Princeton and it rules. You need a really grungy tape-like echo, which it is. You could seek out an old Tokai Analog Delay or similar. Do Dano make an old-style AD?

The EH Holiest Grail is ok (I presume the patches in the more reasonably priced Holy and Holier are similar) but not spectacular. On the cheap, slap echo is easier to find than nice spring reverb. I've not heard a solid state spring reverb that I've liked.

NB - this is dig, but not at all bad nevertheless. I have one, and the only reason I don't use it is down to "harem factor". http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/wasabi-rock-a-...QQcmdZViewItem

"I like the rapid punch of solid-state for the bottom, and the rodent-gnawing distortion of the tubes on top," Cipollina said.

Danelectro do make a slapback echo.
Hmmm, methinks a visit and a play with some boxes at the local shop is needed...

My Cornell Romany really likes the Boss RE-20...

Echo & reverb in one unit!
