Default This is really nice (spiky content, don't judge me)

New from Dean this year - oddly for them, it's a new ML with nary a Dimebag Darrell signature in sight:

Even despite the floating Floyd (would be cooler if it was flat-mounted) that is a seriously nice-looking bit of kit. IMO anyway, most of you will probably disagree.

I also have some videos of myself playing guitar. Here they are.

Body's ok - don't really like those headstocks. But it's not too bad. Couldn't use it live with the sort of bands I'm in though

see, I can live with a V, and I quite like Explorers, but together? :. es ist nicht fur mich...
To me, it's like the Zakk Wylde V/SG thing that was horrific...
That said, I did quite like the Floyd I used, although I didn't have to change strings... or change string gauge. From what I hear, they can be pretty horrific. I'm sure it sounds good though!

Luckily for you, they do one with a 6-in-line headstock.

Make no mistake, floating Floyds are a pain in the arse, but flat ones are much better IMO - they stay in tune when a string goes, and you can re-tune and re-string far more quickly. I blocked the trem on my Ibanez so now it only dives and can't do pull-ups, and it's immeasurably better.

Interesting you should mention the Zakk Wylde thing (hideous, I agree) - it's actually a copy of the Dean Splittail model which has been around a few years longer IIRC, and is actually much nicer-looking (the "waist" is narrower which looks far better):

Still not much of a looker, but an improvement

I dunno about it being HSH, but aside from that, that's pretty nice

The HSH is a little disconcerting - I think this is the first ML they've done like that.

yeah. I mean I actually really like HSH as a pickup layout, just it looks kinda wrong on anything that's not a strat or a superstrat (IMO, obviously).
