    Default New Bon Jovi Album

I've just been lent this ... what the f*** happened to this band? Have they done anything since the golden trio of Slippery/Jersey/Faith?

Dreary ... at least Sambora's latest solo album had some balls to it even if some of the tracks missed the mark slightly. Sounds like they sacked him on this thing though ....

Yup, and after wtching the BBC live show last month, his voice has completely gone. The single is ok, but keep the faith was the last relevant album to me.

Saw them at Ashton Gate a few years ago thanks to a free ticket ... Jon's voice was knackered then too, only thing that saved the gig was Richie singing the difficult songs, and clearly he was sober and playing like he did "back in the day" ...

Same here. I loved 'Slippery' and 'New Jersey' (when I was at school) and finally got to see them live on the Keep the Faith tour at the NEC, but I've not bought anything since then, and that BBC concert told me all I needed to know about the newer stuff.

Saw Bon Jovi in '89 at the Milton Keynes Bowl, and tbh that's about the last time I had any interest in them (until Phil X depped for Sambora)

Based on reading this thread yesterday I scrolled through my iPod this morning and listened to the JBJ Blaze of Glory/Young Guns album on my way in. Haven't listened to that for years but there's some cracking stuff on there.

Think I might be heading into an 80s/90s rock mood for a while.

(although all my Bon Jovi albums are on cassette in the loft!)

These days was the greatest musical album they did from any aspect.

Slippery when wet was the most fun / selling album they did in terms of impact

Keep the faith was a big deal as they changed their sound and approach to music.

These days is the only one that has some heart to it's music and sound though (there is the odd clanger on it)

Disappointing is not the word. I hoped, judging by the album artwork, that maybe they'd have got it together.

I quite liked a couple of the 90s releases. And Have a Nice Day had a few alright songs on them but they weren't very Bon Jovi at all tbh.

Everything after that has been a train wreck! For what it's worth they admit they put a bit of a 'country' twist on Lost Highway but come on what was The Circle?! And what is this?! There's a couple of passable guitar moments but it's just lame.

Wow, really. I haven't heard anything so bad for a long time, it makes me cringe, don't think i'll be buying the album then.
