    Default Music Notation software advice needed

    I am wanting to get hold of some notation software - ideally for free. I want to be able to either manually place the notes but also have the option of playing the music on my midi keyboard and having it appear. I also want to be able to add guitar chords and words.

    Anyone know of a good piece of software for this?

    Have you already got a DAW? As most now can do notation, if not i have used this before i got Sibelius http://musescore.org/
