OR - if you're good. Play the '0% balance transfer shuffle'

If you're good at managing your finances, its a great way to get some interest free credit

Ah ah ah! I'm saving that sort of reckless abandon for my mid-life crisis (or a massive, massive pay rise).

Probably not relevant at all Greg, but years ago I bought a PC on 0% and they were a bit sneaky about it: they took a deposit and then presented you with the document outlining the monthly payments. The sum total of the two came a few hundred short of paying off the total (this was when PCs were v expensive), meaning that your monthly payments would bump up massively with the 168% interest. The sales dude just recommended I set up my own standing order to make up for the eventual shortfall...

Pretty sure that the instrument deals simply divide the remaining balance by 10 or whatever. But just worth keeping your eyes open.

Just get a 0% interest credit card and buy the guitar on that.

Halifax, Tesco and M & S all have one with at least 15 months interest free for purchases.

YeaH! ,... 0% credit cards are great.. I bought my last PRS on one... you also get 'rewards' on some, such as club card points on the Tesco one....

An even better option! You can get your 0% and also potentially get a better price on the guitar too if you haggle with the shop.

I've bought 2 guitars using the pay4later scheme andertons and richtone music use. did it simply to keep money in the bank but could have bought either outright. Very easy to use system pay 10% deposit the rest over 9 months interest free. You cant miss a payment as its all direct debit, easy to do and all forms filled in online. Plus the company is easy to deal with and you can pay off the balance when ever you like, simples!
