Default PRICE DROP: PRS SE Tremonti Custom in Whale Blue £450 shipped

    Hey folks,

Bought this not long ago, made a few upgrades and came across a stunner of a guitar I really want to get.

I'm sadly of the last in first out opinion on guitars currently so this needs to fund the next buy.

PRS SE Tremonti Custom in whale Blue. New model out byPRS not long ago at all. The whale blue is even newer. Nice trem system with up-route for tremolo shenanigans. Really nice weighted guitar. Not heavy vs a few gibbo's i've played in my time. Love the cut out at the 22nd fret as it makes accessibility much smoother.

Great flame maple cap, weighty hog body and really nice thin maple neck

I've made a few upgrades and given it a visit to PRS in maryland US of A. These are:

New electronics - CTS pots (the brass shaft higher tolerance ones!), switchcraft switch and new PIO 0.022uF caps from Mojo Pickups here in UK.

New nut - changed miserable korean nut for PRS usa made nut.

Locking tuners - changed stock non locking tuners for schaller locking tuners straight drop in, no new holes drilled.

It comes with the original PRS SE gigbag, trem arm.

The original pots will be included for fun also.

It had a few other upgrades, but I've removed them after comments below.

I also have PRS pickups you may want to install...... Tremonti treble bridge (£75), #7 neck (£65), chainsaw bridge (incredibly rare - £100), vintage bass neck (£45).

Looking for £450 plus shipping. These things sell for more without the added work and upgrades, so this is a steal IMO.

PM me if after more info or pictures.

    Pictures below

    Cheers,

    Dan.

I think you're going to struggle to get more for a used guitar than it sells for new - I think you'll do far better putting the original pickups and tuners back in and selling the new bits separately unless you find a buyer who wants exactly the upgrades you've put in.

Good luck with the sale either way.

    Cheers man,

That's why I said at the end of the listing exactly that. For those who don't want all the added gubbins.

    Exactly what this man said.

Mods add pretty much no value to a guitar.

Indeed you did - I think it'd be well worth giving a price for that option, and indeed for the bits if sold separately.

I tried a PRS Tremonti SE (no idea if it was a Custom) a couple of weeks ago and it was a very nice instrument.

    Thanks Sporky,

Going on your thoughts, I've taken out the major upgrades (p'ups and locking tuners).

So here's the pics of the current version

Comes with the SE 245 neck and Bridge p'ups. Snappy, bright and with a good bit of bite. Nice with the volume dialled back. I just prefer higher gain on my bridge p'up.

Standard PRS SE tuning pegs - set up for 9's.

With only the CTS pots and PIO cap/Switch re-wire additions, I'm looking for £500 OVNBO plus shipping for this bad boy!

    Cheers,

    Dan.
