    Default Ibanez upgrade ...

As promised here's a link to my blog photostory on the Ibanez Artcore upgrade.

I will post some sound samples shortly ... and some new pics of the development phase of my new Gretsch style single coil pickups. These are going to be humbucker sized with P90 output levels ... but with that cutting clear top and rockabilly 'punch' to the bottom end.

    Nice one, Ash.

I've found the pickguard. I'll bring it to you when we next meet (hopefully next week with Traveller).

Cool beans ... I have to say I can't put down 'Mavis' (as the black sparkle Ibanez has been christened by the womenfolk of the house). The combination of the shorter scale length than my Fenders, the gorgeous neck, and now a sound that matches it's looks has thoroughly seduced me. I haven't touched my Teles or Strats in ages! Mind you, the white Artcore is being played mostly 'acoustic only' at the moment, as, though it feels equally as nice ,those bloody ACH pickups are truly dire.
