    Default Right choice of Pedals

Well guys I need your help
I 've got 300 euro and I want to buy something for my pedal board.
I already use a Suhr riot distortion in a clean amp.
Now I 've got two ways
1st buy a Suhr Koko boost with 300 euro
2nd buy a TC Electronics Flashback and a TC Electronics Spark Booster with 300

If I buy the koko boost later I will buy the Flashback but not now
    So I am asking
between spark booster and koko boost
    which one to choose?

I've had both the Koko and Spark Booster. Both are great pedals.

The Spark is more versatile as you have the EQ and toggle for clean/mid/fat boost modes, however I sold that and kept the Koko boost as I preferred having the two seperate footswitches for boost and mid boost. Makes it easier to use live.

The Flashback is also excellent, I've got one of those on my board as well.

No experience with either booster, but can completely recommend the Flashback. Also, for an alternative clean boost, I bloody love the Visual Sound one. Great buffer (but the TC already has one) and a genuinely quality boost.

But if you need 2 footswitches for an extra kick, you'd be better off saving for the other one.

I thought the Spark Booster was true bypass?

The Koko boost has an internal switch to go from buffered to True Bypass. I run mine in buffered mode.

The flashback he wants is buffered iirc.

Sorry, thought you meant the Spark.

The Flashback does indeed have the trails/no trails option (buffered/true bypass)

Try them both. As others have said, the Flashback is an excellent delay pedal. For what it's worth, most all TC pedals come with internal switches to go from buffered mode to true bypass, and one other mode. Makes them easy to use with other pedals/ long chains/ long ass leaders.

    The real question is:

Is the KOKO worth TWICE as much as the Spark booster- to YOU. Is it worth blowing your entire 300 quid on one pedal, when you can get two excellent ones for the same price? Only you can decide that- it's your ears that have to be pleased, not ours!

For that matter, you could buy 2 Spark boosters- 1 for use as a regular boost, and one set up as a mid boost. ( also answers the question : in the front, or in the loop- yes!)

Keep your eyes open for TC specials, too. They like to run buy 2 ( or 3) pedals and get another free. Right now, I think the free one is the Vortex Flanger, but they've given away Spark boosters in the past!

    Spark Booster and Flashback.

There was a recent TC offer where you could buy two toneprint pedals and get a drive pedal free (ie the Spark). That was a couple of weeks ago so might still be valid.

The Koko Boost is excellent, it's got pride of place on my board, but it is expensive for what it does (I got mine used not new).
